I have a pair of discus that spawned 4 times. I want to have them do it naturally...4 failures...They seam to be good parents but at about 35 hrs
the eggs dwindle away...They turn white then get eaten. I have them in a 90 gal.-no sand-6.0 ph-86%....

Either A) the male isn't fertile, B) you actually have two females, or C) the water is too hard and isn't allowing the eggs to hatch. Not pH, but hardness.

How old are the fish, and are you sure one is a male? Also, do you know the hardness of your water?

I am moving this thread to the Breeding section.

You have them in a 90 gal???? Are there other fish in there with them as well. If so, then they are probably eating the eggs. Do check your hardness like Ryan said. That plays an important part.

First thing is by 60 hours the eggs should have already hatched.

Second if there is other discus in the tank with the pair......the eggs will get eaten. (99% of time)

Third your temp is to high for breeding, IMHO I would lower to 82.

The males will have more of a point coming out. Kinda like a tip of a pencil. The female is more fat and blunt.
