Does anyone have a DIY way to make a grounding probe. I have felt a weak current in my 180 with the twin 300 watt titanium heaters. This can't be good for the fish. Am I right ??

Thanks

I don't know about making one, but I've seen them for sale, cheap, about $10-$12. As far as fish and grounding probes go, check this out:

make sure everything is plugged in a GFCI socket.

If you know that your heater is leaking some, change it, unless you want to die?

of course its not good for you fish, but gorunding probe will not save your life, its mainly for some very specific fish

I've read from a study somewhere that a grounding probe can actually be more harm than help. Just replace your heater.

How are you measuring the current? Are you using GFIs with your equipment as well?
