These fish were bought from discman123 in St Louis. There are actually 4 in there. Discman123 is a great guy. I was in St Louis on buisness and saw that Mike lived there so I figured it would be cool to check out his fish. My work schedule was crazy but Mike made sure I was able to check out his fish. I ended up buying 4 of these Dragons and trying to take them on the airplane with me, big problem. They wouldnt let me carry them on, they wouldnt let me check them, none of the airline cargo would take them nor would Fedex, so I dropped them off with Mike at his work and he shipped them. I got them the next morning and they have been doing great for the past 3 weeks. Thanks Mike!

BTW they are about 11 months old. Sorry the water is so cloudy but this was the day after I got them and the boi wasnt yet established yet.

Thank you all. I will try to get some pics tonight. They should be up by tomorrow. When I saw these fish I knew I had to have them. Hopefully I should get a pair out of the four.

I dont understand why its a problem taking fish on a plane. Whats the reasoning? Should be considered carry on.


I am curious as to why?????

They didnt give a clear reason just that it wasnt allowed. I went to other airlines just to ask and none of the ones I talked to said it was ok. I figure they think fish are so delicate that if one died we would try to get them to compensate us or something, that and maybe they are worried it would leak. I did ask the TSA inspector and he said he would allow it, so if your box was small enough and you didnt tell the airline you would probably be able to get it on.

Very nice discus you got there!!! Mike is a great guy... I dealt with him befor also... I got some of his red dragon and red web babies that i am growing out... They are looking real good... Enjoy your new dragons!
