I have a big piece of malaysian drift wood. I had it in a tank with my discus for a while. I have since taken it out about 6-8 months ago. It has been sitting outside on my apartment balcony through last winter until now. My question is would it still be safe to use. Or if not is there anything I can do to it to make it usable. Let me know thanks!

It should be fine, might take awhile to sink again though.

i'd maybe boil it for awhile first just to make sure

is there any other way besides boiling it? This is a rather large piece of driftwood and I would have to get one of those culdrens the witches use in the cartoons to be able to fit inside.

Just put it in the tank. The chances of bugs from your temperate climate living in your tropical tank are next to zero.

Ok thank you guys for the reply, that stuff is not too cheap at the stores around here in Cleveland, OH and I didn't want it to go to waste.

Hmm if its a large piece why not just pour boiling water over it? Just throwing that out there. ;)
