Very nice fish.
They are too expensive to buy, they may come down in price in about a year's time.

Hi Angela,
You want some? I can bring them in for you but you would need to put your house up for sale.:o They cost more than two arms and two legs.:D

Just wait awhile. The price should go down in a couple of years.

Several months ago a good breeder friend of mine told me that an albino RGD at 5" cost ~ $3,000US. Wonder if that's true?

Hi Kenny,
That's true my friend and a 2" one is selling for $200.00US with no guarantee that it will be a solid fish, there are some throwbacks which are striated.

well i'm actually arranging a purchase order from Lip soon for the Albino Red Golden Diamonds. They would cost much lower than $3,000US for a 5" specimen. so if anyone's interested, we could collate orders. Lip's a close friend of mine and I'd be most glad to help him with sales. Of course, rest assured you're getting the fish directly from him and that I'm not getting them from another source altogether. Would provide receipts and certification direct from the man himself!

so if anyone's interested, please do not hesitate to pm me for prices and availability! i'm helping Lip as he's unable to come here to simplydiscus to promote his fish! Lip's a totally nice person of whom I owe too many favours to.. and therefore am here to help promote and make available his fish to you guys. rest assured too that the fishes are exported direct from his farm himself.. and well we could always provide photos of us packing your fish ya know ;p

cheers all!!

Hi dalelad - sry I didn't mean to cause any confusion as to the pricing of those fish. I think the $3000US quote that my breeder friend told me about was a retail price quote? I'm sure when one buys in volumes they can get a better pricing.

Take care,
Kenny

i guess $3000US would be the cost plus in between earnings from brokers and all. the price i'm getting is definitely direct from the man himself, so you receive fish direct from Lip. no in-betweens.. and perfect for distributors and whole-salers. Definitely, at $3000US, or even at half the price, it would still be difficult to get in volume. so yup, things can be worked out.

no one is ever say that the price of the albino RGD cost as US$3000,as mentioned, "kenny heard it is US$3000".to be frank,i didnt ask the price of the adult albino RGD cos lip doesnt really intend to release the the adult fishes at this moment.
here's some pics of the 2-2.5" albino RGD that i got for my buyer 2 days ago.they r a lil pricey but not as what been mentioned or "heard" in the post.sorry for the poor pic n fishes r under quarantine.

Seeing is believeing....!!

We visited the farm recently and had the pleasure and privilage to witness frist hand these wonderful fishes.

It was a joy to see so many red fishes without pepperring and also the redness is very fresh and lively color tone.

We are proud that Malaysia had produced such beautiful strain of Discus.
