Could someone with a 75 gallon tank please measure the overall length of the tank for me please?? (the frame length)

Ive been working on my fishroom and just trying to figure out how to lay it out before i start plumbing.

I have one 48 x 18 x 72 gorilla rack and the max size lengthwise that fits in it is 48.5. The 55's fit lenghwise but i have a feeling the 75's wont work if they are a little longer than 48.5. Even if they are 48.5 i wont be able to take them out without having to take the stand completely apart each time. I'll prettty much have to build the rack around them ..... lol.

I was thinking of just building some wood racks but would rather have all the racks match.

Thanx

If the 55 works, the 75 should. These tanks are the same length, the 75 is just deeper front-to-back.

Actually, the 18.5 dimension might be more of a problem (front-to-back)

It will be a very tight fit, but I use that same rack to house my 75 gallon AG tanks.

Mack did you go 3 up with them??

Got a pic of it set up?

I called Hans and he measured his and they are 48.5 x 18.5 so i guess they will fit ......... but like you said ... very tightly .... lol.

I assume i'll have to put the shelf in then slide the tank in from the top and then put the next shelf in and slide the tank in from the top. Could be a definate PITA if i need to pull the bottom tank out for any reason ... lol.

Personally i think i would rather go with the 65's since they arent as tall and 3 up wouldnt be a problem at all and length and width is more important than height.
