Male Paring

I have heard of females pairing up can cleaning spawn sites and whatever but how common is it that males pair up and do the same? I have 2 in the community tank that have been cleaning sites and doing the dance now for a while(and have done it before) but both breeding tubes are out and look the same. I know one is a male but the one that should be a female doesnt have a swollen belly of eggs and just made me think that it could be a male.

Females don't usually get a swollen belly. Their tube is bigger around than the male's tube. The male has a more pointed end.

I did have 2 males pairing up on me b4, but probability-wise it's much less common than having 2 females paired.

Whether it is a male and female about to spawn or two gay discus playing around it is still exciting to watch.
