beefheart flake food

Is much of the quality of the beefheart lost when it is processed into flakes? Could I use the beef heart flakes and expect my Discus to do as well on it as they do on frozen beefheart that has no additives other than gellatin?

I think it would be better to stick with the frozen variety. The discus seem to like it better and anything that has more processing is probably not as good for growth.

I've always had good results with beef heart flake. Mine won't touch the frozen stuff and go for the flake instead (and they grow like crazy on it). I got mine from floridaguppiesplus but there are other sources. Quality wise I think it is as good or better than any other dry food.
