View Full Version : lfs leopards 2 1/2 months later
Hi Peeps ;)
Just wanted to update a few pics ;) I purchased these from the lfs on 6/17/06...... here's a before shot when they first arrived....
they seem to be growing pretty good.
I really like how these guys shapes are changing as they grow.. Their spotting could be a lil better...... but then again.... what can you expect from an lfs......

Whether from a LFS or Simply Sponsor, I honestly couldn't tell the difference. Those are great looking discus. I'd be proud to have em'.

These Discus were brought in from a large US importer...with 4 letters in thier name;) by the lfs we deal with.
Ive delt with the importer personally in the past, and typically the quality is hit and miss at best (usually miss)...Its nice that the lfs brings em in...then we can pick and choose. The next order they brought in was crapola...

Great looking fish. The lower one in pic 3 is almost fully marked. Nice. And they seem to be growing fast. :D

id say you did pretty good choosin. : ) i like the shape on them. looks like they are gonna get fairly large . good going. keep feeding beth...maybe they will be monster discus. lol.

Well, you can't forget that although pretty good to start with they probably had an above average care in the hands of Mrs Tony_S!!!

true. its all in the care. Id say Beth cares for discus better than most. Tony..did you help do wcs??? and also..the eye to select...also timing. as soon as they hit the store..before they slide downhill. : )

They are terrible!! What have you done to them?? You will have to ship them to me now and I'll see if I can rescue them.......
ok, so it was a lame attempt ;) They do look great, I agree they could do with more spots but getting fully spotted fish from anywhere is as rare as rocking horse poo. Still one of them has a nice lot of spots and pretty good shape on all too. They should develop into very nice fish.

That is a wonderful expression that I have not heard before. I plan to use it at the next good opportunity.
