A pipefish; this guy was piggybacking on the back of a parrot fish, then dashed off and tried to eat a little fish...

Thanks for the compliments...the eel was in a few feet of water and I was floating at the surface. I was using my camcorder with the zoom lens. I have a plastic "bag" I so I can use the camera under water.

There's always one that got away...There was a tiny squid, about two inches long, that came over to examine me. I held the camera out toward him, and he swam right in front of the lens and started displaying! He curled his tentacles over his head, spread them out, held them in two vertical "bunches," turned away, turned back toward me...and I later found I didn't have the camera turned on. It's hard to work the controls in the plastic protective thingie, and...what can I say. It'll take some time to recover emotionally from that debacle; those would have been amazing pictures.
