My Discus spawned in my plant tanke 2 weeks ago and ever since the female ate the eggs they have been fighting off and on ever since. my question is would it be bennifical to them if i moved them into their own tank or should i just leave them in the plant tank. their tank mates are 3 bleeding heart tetras, 4 silver hatchets and 2 clown loaches.

thanks
kevin

I suppose it depends whether or not you want baby discus.

If you do..yes they probably ate the eggs because they knew
someone else would.

They would have alot better chance in their own tank.

Do some searches in the breeding forum...tons of info.

Thanks I'm getting a 25 gal from a member of my reef club this weekend so I'll put them in there after I get the tank all nice and clean.

So they will pair off and breed in a plant tank pretty easily? I was wondering if the light in the tank would shy them away from pairing off and laying. I had pairs in the past that did well in a non planted tank (and I didnt have the light on them very often either). So I was wondering if the bright light would discourage them from pairing off and laying, this is good to know that they will.
