By any chance did you happen to have just done a water change before seeing this? If not, my best guess is that it's feces and at least one of your fish has Hex. Metro for 10 days at elevated temps, or Gel-Tek PX in food for 3 days (no need to raise temps with Gel-Tek).

It's difficult for me to tell exactly what it is. I asked if you had just done a wc because it could be nothing more than some sloughed off slime coat from one of your fish due to the water change. For now I would watch them closely and see what happens. If you find more, repost, and we'll discuss it further. In the meantime you may want to do a search on "Metro" so you know what you will need to do in the worst case. Hex is seldom fatal to large discus.

alright I'll keep a close look on them and I also spotted something similar to this in the tank, I looked like a string w/ and circles bubbles I Don't know if this makes sense. Looks white clear?? Anyways thanks for all the input.

Looks like bacterial infection to me . . . flagellates usually is long thin string of mucus hanging from vent . . .

hexamita is a bit clearer than that, that stuff is to white and thick IMO.

if its hexamita your fish are likely to have more feeces coming out in the following days, but it will hang of your fish a long time before it gets freed in the water, so have a cloce look when they poop.

form the second pick it looks flat (like a tapeworm a bit exept that there is no continuity in your stuff, worm are more consistent in shape). But again a prazipro treatment would not harm if you have not done any ever.

So unless you report other abnormal behavior, or see more of this stuff its really hard to know what to do
