I don't know if it's obvious but look at the nose of this discus and tell me what to do. His fins are clamped and stays at one spot almost all the time...

I don't understand your question? I see a heavily peppered nose? Pepper is just pigment . . .

carol, i think he is referring to the large indentation on the bridge above the nose

That is what I thought at first then I was thinking perhaps he does mean the peppering:confused:

Regardless, there is nothing physically wrong with your fish. Whether you are reffering to the peppering or dent. I'm not trying to be mean but IMO its a cull. This does NOT mean I think it should be destroyed, if you like it, keep it. I would definately not breed it though.

Now that isn't normal. You may need to treat for some kind of parasitic problem or disease. The peppering and nose is just part of the fish but could be worse because of stress, is he eating? You may want to try some parasite clear on him.

Yep! I somehow missed that (and got yelled at by Ingrid for it). I agree with Tina, clamped fins and not moving IS a bad sign. Have you seen its feces? If so what color is it? Is it eating?

You have to be more specific with your questions. What exactly are you asking? Pepper and deformities are plenty normal in many discus which are considered to be culls. It is sometimes the hardest thing to deal with when trying to find out what is causing stress.
