where to buy water barrel ?

Any suggestion on where to buy water barrel locally here in Los Angeles ? I prefer to pick up from local store, rather than paying for shipment. What is the typicaly water barrel size you guys use to store/age tap water ?

Try bakeries, DIY wine/beer stores, soda factories.they all use 45 gallon barrels

You can just get a Rubbermaid trash can at a hardware store. They make the extra strong ones in large sizes.

Depending on how much money you have to spend I would get the biggest polyethelene tank you can afford. You will find them at farm supply stores. Do your research first or you will pay more than you need to. Go to the Norwesco web site, they make good tanks and you will find a local dealer or call around the area. Get the biggest tank you can, the 100 or 165 gallon are great.
