Liz,

That's a beautiful fish. Did it have bars? If so, that's the only thing keeping it from being a "San Merah"... it actually has the dark ring around it and the solid face... not something you see much in a lot of the "new" Rose Reds.

Yes, it had bars. If you look real close you can see 2 around the middle of the fish.

Thanks for the pics! I'm thinking of getting some Rose Reds and just wanted to get a better look at adults. In fact, I remember within the last 2 mos. someone posted a pic of their tank and had some spectacular Rose Reds in there. I wish I could find that post, but no luck so far. I think they also had Blue PBs, too, and it may have been a thread about Blue PBs. I'm going to keep looking.

Thank you. Back then all my fish were from Mark Tan. Unfortunately I got a batch infected with cryptobia. I don't know if the problem was with the breeder or the importer and his suppliers in Malaysia. I finally decided to dump everything and start afresh. I had (have) doubts as to whether Cryptobia can be fully eliminated with meds since it is a parasite that forms a cyst. I really miss those fish. I never had any that weren't exceptional. But now I have healthy fish. No more pain of watching fish with incurable white poop waste away.

Wow, all beautiful fish! But this was a hobbyist's tank and I wanted to show my husband - I wish I could remember where it was. Oh well. Thanks for the pics!

One more question on Rose Reds... does the whole body or most of it usually develop the red color when adults? Thanks! :)
