Hi Walter,
I have seen one species of those in Person, They are an amazing fish.. I saw a tankful at an importers last year... They literally were trying to climb /swim out of the tank...powerful swimmers but ugly as can be.

Theres at least 5 species.

I think the Candiru is the world only truly parasitic vertebrate.
