Never heard of it, but the name certainly suggests a search engine (us old timers will remember "web crawlers" usually called "spiders" that were the equivolent of today's search engines)

Larry's right. Search engines send out "spiders" to crawl the web and look for content. The board tracks the search engine crawlers now so that I know which engines are hitting the board, and how frequently.

ryan is correct. Yahoo Slurp is yahoo's web-indexing robot. The yahoo slurp crawler collects documents and content from the web to build an index for search services using the yahoo search engine.
