How many juvenille Discus could i have in a bare bottom 45g? Daily water changes of 50% and feeding six times per day.

As a general rule....1 adult fish per 10 gallons of water. hth

You could probably do 6, but I wouldn't do anything more than 8.

I thought you asked about juvies. As for adult, go with a 55 gal.

Juvies grow to be adults so if your planning on 50% once a day I would recommend 5 discus unless you are planning on upgrading to a bigger tank as they grow. Say you pick up 5 at 2.5" do a 50% every other day and increase that as they get bigger.

Thank you. I wanted to keep them when they reach adult size. So i think i may just go for adults. at what size are they considered adults? I thought it was 4 inches?
