Hey all
Well, moving forward towards my first discus. I have now drained my frontosa growout tank (55 gallon), cleaned it (scrubbed only, no chemicals, bare bottom), cleaned the hoses on my eheim 2215, but left the media intact and wet, and am now looking for the filtration.
Tank: 55 gallon, 48" long.
The tank will be used to "grow up" discus, until I get my 150+ gallon for the fronts, then the discus will get a 125 gallon.
1) should I keep the eheim on this tank, or move it to another tank?
2) as far as sponges go, I assume the Hydrosponges are the way to go, but what size, and what type of airpump do you recommend?
3) Anything else?
