Hi Everyone, I read something about being concerned because the discus fish werent holding their fins erect.Does it mean something is wrong if discus don't hold their fins erect all the time? Also could it be because of HOB filter causing current in the tank? Thanks, Jo

it means you need a water change as first line of action to fix the problem. they are stressed.or not well.
or..sometimes if they just came and new environment..takes them a day or two to settle in . the fish in your pic looks happy..they should greet you waiting for food..or swim in a loose school up and down and themiddle of the tank. if they are huddled or hanging in the back at the bottom..they arent happy. more you watch your fish..the more you learn their behaviour and whether they are smiling or not.
