Hi everyone,

I am trying to understand the names for discus strains. Does anyone know what is Albino for Discus? Usually for other fish, it just means red eyes and yellowish color. But not sure what that means in discus because almost all disucs i see has red eyes. In particular,

What is the difference (in color for adult discus) between albino White Butterfly and white butterfly?

What is the difference (in color for adult discus) between albino golden and regular golden?

I know the difference between Albino blue diamond and blue diamond, blue diamond is totally blue, while albino blue diamond is white/yellow color with fins being blue. But can't tell the difference for albino golden and AWB to their regular strain. Thanks.

The albino Discus have a red puple as well as red eye color.

Here is as pic of one of Tony Tan's AWBs in one of his tanks.

The other is a pic of a regular WB that I used to own.

Thank you. Although I almost quit the hobby at the time, I persevered. It's in the past now.

No no, Dan. The WB is one I used to own. The albino is a pic of one in Tony Tan's tanks that Kenny posted a while back. Mine are growing like weeds but are still little babies. People have been asking so here's some new shots of my Albinos.
