Automatically filling tanks.

I am looking to automatically fill my tanks at the same time when I build my fish room down in my basement. I was just curious how anyone else has done this. I am just looking for my tanks to fill to a predetermined height and then shut off. Has any hooked their tanks up like this, if so please let me know how you did this. Thanks for your help.
