Flag Fish

Has anyone had any luck with flag fish with discus? I want to put 6 in my 180g planted tank to help with hair algae. I talked with the seller of the FF he said they would be ok.
I have about 30 neon and cardinal tetras, 13Mixed discus 3-4 inches , 5 dwarf gourami, 2 boesemani rainbow, and 2 Bn.

I tried them last Summer, had a horrid hair algae prob. I found that they prefer the fish food to the algae, and even pushed the discus around some. They live in my pond now, Seachem Excell took care of the algae.

There are several fish that are commomly reffered to as Flag fish, just make sure which one is the one you want!

I personally haven't tried them but Debbie's experience seems to be the most common one! BTW, most fish preffer fish food over algae!:D

I ordered a dwarf cichlid from the LFS and got the flag instead. I guess that says alot about the supplier. After quarantine, I put him in and have never had the slightest problem from him.
