Well, we got zero's where we want the zeros to be! It was tough to wait it out but we survived!

I still am not happy with the amount of water that is not flowing which is hard in itself since discus don't like high flow.

So to whoever is reading this, this is a 90g with a fluval 405 that is barely moving the water enough and is not breaking the surface in the least. I have a 1200 maxi with a hydor difuser on it and that helps to move the water, just not break it on top...any suggestions? I would prefer to stay away from bubble bars, but if I have to....I will:( In the past we put an aquaclear on the tank for breaking the surface and I don't really want to do that either. Can I get away with another maxi or will that bother the fish?

I cant seem to find a spray bar that fits the 405, only the 404..any one know of a mod?

This might be a dumb question so forgive me but it may help. I have a few of the fluval 404s and there is a flow adjustment lever between the intake and the outtake hoses. I'm not positive about the 405 but the 404 has it. Did you try adjusting that?

Nope, nothing there. Even the video doesn't show that option.

This is a link to a surface skimmer for Fluvals you could try this I don't see why it wouldn't work for a 405 it just connects to the tubing.

Just to let u know, I use the surface skimmers on all my tanks. See a great improvement. I absolutely love them
