Wire Mess

Hi,

Should the wire mess be removed after fry hatch out? I have this male with eye sight problem that often end up picking on good eyes while trying to remove the bad eggs. Now that there are fry, is it wise to remove the wire before they free swim?

I usually leave the screen on untill after they go freeswimming. A parent with bad aim can do alot of damage to the wrigglers while trying to remove them from the fungused area. Waite till most of the wrigglers have detached from the spawning site and check the screen for wrigglers still attached to it before removing it.
