I'm no expert, but I dont' see any reason why you cannot. that's a very tall tank, but I've heard that discus prefer taller tanks. I'm curious what the experts will say about that.

You're gonna need some really good lighting to get ample light to the plants at the bottom of the tank...but that's a separate issue.

The only problem that I see in a tank like that is the little amount of surface area. That is why with discus, rectangle tanks do better because of the amount of surface area for better exchange.

It may be that discus prefer taller tanks but those who have to clean discus tanks usually don't.
