Hi,
Ive been keeping discus for 30 yrs or so. I do planted discus
aquariums(densly planted, CO2, HQI/T5, RO/DI) I have adult breeding pairs of
Turquoise and Blue Diamonds. I feed frozen blood worms, shrimp, tetra
flakes. I cycled 48 gallon tank(It went beyond my high expectations) and I
just bought some 1.5 inch "Wayne Ng Spotted Eruption" young discus. Can
someone help me out as in: describing the progress of colouring of the
Spotted Eruption type? I would like to know what to expect in colouring at
age/size: 1 month
3 months
6 months
1 year
1.5 years

Ive never really heard of this strain before last week, and the colouring on
the 1.5" is lacking on the body(its on the fins) so I would like some help
with what to expect.
Thanks,
Tom

well..thats a good thing at this point..not hormoned and full colour. snakeskins take about 10 months to get thier full colour. but hard to tell at that age if they will fully pattern. who did you get them from? theyd be able to help you better...with predictions. they are babies. those are their baby colours.

IME they color very slowly. I have some SE x RSG fry at 2.5" right now and while the 9 bars are showing some interesting colors the SS types are only showing the faintest blue on a goldish base. Have patience with them.
