Growth sequence question

If a young discus (3-3.5 in) has a caudal fin that starts late, is it possible the the positioning changes with time as the fish grows, or is it going to have a caudal that is farther back even in adulthood?

Also if the transition to the dorsal has a small hump, do they generally grow out of that as well, or is it cichlid humped for life?

Your discus will not have achieved its final shape yet, but faults like wrong position of the fins and the head profile most likely won't improve.
