Hi Noob,

Sorry to be blunt, but these are not the best quality fish for breeding. But I think before you start a breeding programme give them a bit longer to grow, they look juves and a little stunted to me (big eyes, football shaped, thin) Lots of good water, daily water changes and some good food. It also looks like there are white growths on the caudal fin of the turq too. Give them another 6 months to build up a bit, if they are flirting, try to keep them apart, that way they will be able to concentrate on growing.

The other issue is that they are from different strains ie: Turq and Pigeon Blood. Because of this possible crossing, the fry you would get will be PB based with lots of peppering (tiny black spots) which would not be desirable if they made it to adulthood. If it were me, I would not let these form a pair.

THZ for you advice :)

Now i plan to let them grow more. However, some of them doesn't really eat... why does this occur? BTW, what fish you would like to let them form a pair? Same color??
