Just completed a move recently and have been adjusting to our new surroundings. The water turned brown recently and looks pretty nasty. Talked to the neighbors, and they told me that it is from sediment in the pipes (iron). The water is city water, and apparently they are working on a solution. Anyone have this problem before?

Hi Adrian,
I haven't had the problem to that extent, but its similar to when I lived elsewhere with city water and a very old house.. They sell Filters for removing Iron...that plus some good sediment filters should fix the issue.

I'd give Russ at Buckeye Field Supply a call and see what he thinks.

Run it through some activated carbon, that should clear it up

Yup shouldn't be too much of a problem. There was actually an article about it in the paper today, as it's a city wide problem. Basicly said that the water is drinkable. Fish don't seem to mind it too much, and to be honest I dont feel like spending the money to try to fix it at this point...
