I lost a Discus 2 days ago to this, but all my other Discus appeared healthy. Now a smaller Discus is showing the exact same symptoms only difference this one is eating, while the other stoped.
It starts with the discus completly darkening, and 80% of the time hanging out in the back of the tank. There's also a buldge in the stomach area, and gill membranes flaired. It appears the fish is gasping for air.
With the first instance, I tried tons of water changes, and adding epsom salt, with no effect. Before the stepped up water changes ammonia, nitrite, nitrate were zero.
I have an antibac on hand, but none of the LFS have internal para meds. I do have an order of Metro on the way, but not sure if it will arrive in time.
