Waterchange Cure

Before moving my fish tank too the new place, my fish where starting too show signs of finrot or some other fin degenerating problem , some where worse then others.

Before I brought the tank too the new house I completly cleaned the filter and all filters in the fx5, with tap water. Filled tank & hooked up filter. let water stand for one day, then added the discus.

Withing two days of adding fish, all fins have completly grown back, and fish seem much healthier, happier and active.

Couldnt belive what a good cleaning could do so quickly...:)

The bacteria, Flexibacter columnaris, that causes mouth rot, tail rot, loves crappy water filled with mulm...clean up the water, dropping it's CFU numbers and then the fish's immune system has a chance to fight back...in this case it won


Good water = healthy fish

Amen on clean water, thats why I would rather do too many water changes then not enough.
