ich question

Unfortunately I have been neglecting my killies do to keeping my discus happy. Some now my killies came down with ich, and I was wondering if prazi-pro, formallin or Jungle's external parasite clear would get rid of ich. And which one would work best. Also can anybody explain where it comes from. There hasn't been any new fish, but they only get new water every two weeks. I have only had them for 3 months, but I didn't see it on them when I got them.

Hi Raise the temp to around the mid 80*'s, up the air and use the Quick Cure if the killies will withstand it.

Ich and most other parasites are always around at very low ambient levels...stress the fish and they take over

I agree with Graham here, and the quick cure does work well on Ich... I also have found that jungles's Ich clear tablets (different from the parasite clear) work wonders on Ich in a trop tank.
