I have four 29 & 20 gal bb tanks all in a row, same light & filtration
(separate filters) and one tank is plagued with that greasy brown algae, bottom, sides- I try to keep up with it, but going in there and scubbing freaks out my pair, I tried a pleco he wont eat it. Any suggestions other than a daily scrubbing. my other three tanks show no sign of it, only a bit of green algae which is easy for me to keep under wraps.
Thanks,
Tom

get some octinoculus if you can find them they'll eat it all up.

Did you try a bristlenose pleco?? They do keep the glass very clean! Not all plecos eat algae. For example, some are big wood eaters and some are strictly carnivores.

Debbi,
I have clown plecos, real small, love the green algae, 1 little one keeps the ornaments in my 72 gal. perfectly clean, but they do not like the brown algae.
