Repair scratches on glass?

Hi everyone,

I just purchased a used 75 gall tank that has a few minor scratches, but one fairly large and deep scratch. So I was wondering if anyone has had such a problem and are there any ways of fixing it?

Thanks for the reply Walter, I think we can do this. Since the tank in question is not yet set up, it should be easier than with fish/water. I think I'll bookmark that link for future reference.

Be careful of your speed if you use a buffer so it doesn't heat the glass too much. It can actually get hot enough to break. This was not as much of a concern for the tank still partially filled as it wicked away any heat.
