Swelling lip. Need advice!

One of my BD is developing some sort of infection in his upper lip. This is an adult male about 2 1/2 years old. It seems like he doesn't have big problem with eating and no losing weight is observed. Other than the bump on the lip, he looks quite healthy. Pls check out the attached pictures and any advice and suggestion are appreciated!

Hi Collin,
That is odd looking. The first thing that comes to my mind is possibly a lip fibroma. This usually occurs more often in angelfish, but its possible for discus to get it too. You need to keep a close eye on it and make sure it doesn't get any bigger.

What are your water parameters? Are all the other fish doing well?

Hopefully it is just an injury that will heal up on its own and not lip fibroma.

Be sure to keep your tank water extra clean for a while and see if it goes away on its own.
