Hello, I,ve been neglecting my discus for too long by keeping them in tapwater with a ph of around 8.5. this may account for a small precentage of some of the unwanted health problems..

anyways This check im ordering My first Ro unit. along with a pressure booster which will be needed.

So is this a good Unit, Is this all I will need?

Walter used to fire off a good RO unit....

RandalB are you saying the booster pump from Airwaterice.com is garbage? I searched for aqautech and only found boosters pumps, so assumed this i was wat your talking about?

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha .....sorry

Young,
The aquatec 8800 is a pressure booster pump. I've been using them for years and have found them to be the best out there.

Don't know what he's supplying now, but Walter's power station booster pump used to be powered by a generic pump and not an 8800. With the pic washed out, it's difficult to tell what is included now.

The generic pump outperformed the Aquatec 8800... for about 2 weeks, then, it started leaking... badly. Returned the first one and he sent me another but I had the same results. Fortunately, Walter is a good guy to do business with so I never had any problems getting issues settled.

I used to run mine full open, which gave me about 120lbs at the membranes.. I note now that he's asking the pump not be run over 75lbs and at that pressure there may not be any problems but you won't get the same production.

I've run the Aquatecs up to 100lbs with never a problem.

LOL.. I would too if it would do it Randal :) I have the dual membrane, which I think keeps it down a little, and am currently getting just under 100 :(
