i was just wondering wat tank size would be best for breeding discus...Wats the minumum size and the max size tank for breeding them?

20H is OK if you're artificially raising the fry.

29 gal is probably the most common size, if parent's will raise fry.

If space is no problem, 40 gal breeders are as big you want to go for one pair.

Other options include 3 pairs in compartmentalized 70 gal. Eggs, Cone and parents need to be placed into a separate tank prior to free-swimming fry.

These are just some potential options.

thats cool...i guess im just gonna have to stock up on tanks...but i was wondering if a 55 gallon divided into 2 sides good/ok for breeding?

30 gallon Oceanic Cubes are Great. I saw some fourty gallon breeder tanks and they look real good .

Yes, just be ready to separate prior to free swimming. Some like the egg crate - separated tank strategy since there may be pheromones or other chemical signals released by the breeding pair that may hasten breeding behavior by the 2nd pair.
