growing out question.

hey guys just a quick question....

How long does it take under optimal conditions to grow out a discus from a 2.5" or 3" juvy, to a full sized adult?

I'm assuming a few years, but i really dont know.

Your guess is correct. It normally takes about 12 months +- for them to real maturity to spawn. I think within 2 - 2.5 years your fish will be fully grown. IMO

Lifespan of a discus in healthy waters usually is???

10 to 13 years is a good life span for a healthy discus. I had a friend of mine who had one for 15 years before it died.
