Hello all, I was wondering if anyone had any insight as to what I could expect from my newly formed pair. The male is a 6+" Blue Snakeskin and the female is my own cross of a Blue Turk and a Golden. The male doesn't have red eyes but the female has blood red eyes.

Thanks

Well, its confirmed. They had a few hatch into wigglers. I think I will move them into a 29 gallon tank and see if I can up the fertility a little. Can't wait to see what they are going to be.

This is the best shot I could get tonight. They are still pretty jumpy after to move.

Thanks for looking.

Well, they settled in and spawned again. Not a big spawn but there are about 20-30 eggs still a good amber color. They have been picking the dead eggs off but leaving the healthy ones. I got my fingers crossed.

Way to go! 20-30 is not a bad spawn. It is a very reasonable amount to handle. Good luck and keep us posted.

Are you sure the female is a golden x ? The reason i ask is the golden is controlled by a ressessive gene and f1 in a cross and they will all be wild colored discus, not bright orange like your fish. So it must be a pigeon blood gene. Crossing pigeon gene with ss will give you some more pigeons and some wild colored fish, some will be ss, some not. They will be highly variable progeny.
