I took advice from Angela to lower my breeding tank temperature to 82. It seems to work quite well. My pair kept spawning eggs almost every week. They just did another round last night .. their fourth time and they have lots of eggs this time.

I am wondering if I should keep the temperate at 82 or should I raise it to 84 or even 86 ? Would it help to hatch the eggs faster ? What is the ideal temperature to raise wrigglers and free swimmers ?

With eggs, wigglers or fry, I wouldnt make any changes in temp. They are fragile and dont do well with change. Stay with 82-84 and you will be fine.

I would not mess with changing the temp up. Leave it at 82 until you move the fry to there own tank when they get bigger. Then that tank should be around 84-86.

I followed the 82 deg suggestion, and the time line cycle was right on. My babies are still at 82 deg (1.5 months old)
