Unsure of the age. It's about 3.5". Any ID on the type of discus? Male/Female?

Looks just like mine.. I attached a photo of mine. I have been calling mine a Red Scarlet, or just Scarlet. They also kinda look like a Red Melon.

I find some on website that call theirs the above names.. although then I look up those names and find discus that look very different than before. Seems like breeders and everyone has different names for most discus.

I'm very interested to see what the experts on this site call them.
