Dry food spent a year in a freezer

I got a bag of flake food that spent a year in a freezer, it was closed but not air-tight. Is it still good or has it lost it's nutritional value and should be just thrown away?

Since this was in a bag I would throw it away, but if it was in a sealed container then it would still be good.
