complete information for breeding:
please any successful breeder pls share?

1. how many gallons?
2.temperature?
3.how many water change?how much?
4.covered tank or not? (privacy)
5.food for adults spawning?
6. filter?

1 -29 & 20 gal bare bottom
2- 82 deg.
3- about an inch of water a day. sometimes if they wont lay I dont change the water for 3 days, then I give them a 30% change of
tap water (a bit cooler than the tank water)
4 - tank hood or cover with a light
5- before they lay eggs BH, FBW, bits & flake (varied)
when they lay eggs, FBW & bits
(I still change the water when they are caring for the eggs)

6 - I use a medium size sponge filter and an aqua clear hang on with a mesh sock on the inlet (rated for a 30 gal tank in both tanks)
I allow algae to grow moderately in my breeding tanks.

I uae a 3/8 hose to siphon.

3.how many water change?how much? I have had the best results when I do not do many water changes...once per week
4.covered tank or not? (privacy) I paint all sides light blue except the front
5.food for adults spawning? I like to feed frozen blood worms and live california black worms
6. filter? Songe filter. Also my breeding room is dimly lit
