I bought this guy/gal from my local fish store. I was told it was a wild caught green. I would have bought it anyway, but I'm skeptical of the ID.
Can any more experienced folks out there ID this strain?
Many thanks!

As Ben Stein said in Ferris Bueller's Day Off...

Nope. No mood bars ever. All colors always stay the same.

The stress bars are faintly visible in the top pic. I don't believe it is a wild nor green discus. Its either a brown or blue discus. Brown if you're old school, blue if you subscribe to the new theory on classification.

Very interesting!
To clarify, the fish does have bars (six I believe). However, they are faint and they never vary in intensity or darkness.

I'd say it's a brown too and doesn't look like it would be wild. I've had Pidgeon Blood Snakeskins that come out just like that one looks - some of the juveniles don't hold the patterns from generation to generation.
But it's still a nice looking fish - I like the bright red eye.
