Hello
Has anyone dealt with Wattley Discus.I recently bought 6 fish from this bredder.I dealt with a gentleman named Gabe and he seemed very knowledgable.I live in New York and it seems that the only way to get discus is thru mail order. Are there other bredders that I should consider?I plan on setting up 2-3 more tanks and wish to about other recommended bredders.Id appreciate any imput on experiences members have had.

Hi Steve,
We have a section here on the forum that highlights our sponsors...
http://www.forum.simplydiscus.com/forumdisplay.php?f=42
These sellers have reputations that can be verified thru the forum members here and our I-trader feedback system....
These sponsors support the forum and try hard to sell the best fish they can to our members.. . I would strongly advise you start there.
Wattleys is not a sponsor here but You can do a forum search on Wattley...
search link..
http://www.forum.simplydiscus.com/search.php
search results for wattley...

and that will show you alot about the members here and their experiences with Wattleys hatchery.

Hello Dan
You have beautiful fish.I do have a few questions. Is there a minimum amount of fish that has to be ordered? How old are they? And what are the shipping charges?
I will be setting up tanks in a few weeks, and have to cycle my new tanks.I figure Im about 4 weeks away from actually ordering fish.Thanks.

Thanks...I have no minimum. I am here for you the customer so order the amount you would like. Fish are approx. 2 1/2 months old. Shipping charges depends on the amount of fish ordered and destination. But I would say the average for 4-10 fish will be around $75-80.

Steve,
Some of the most beautiful discus I have ever owned came from Wattley's in the mid-90's. Since then, I have made several more purchases, ranging from average to very good in quality.
