some turned dark some turned white

the dark ones move and have sticks

tails maybe?

hope so..

so i shut off the sponge filter and put in an air stone
and shut off the timer and left on the lights
anything else i should do?

Get your sponge going again you still need it . The might wiggle for a couple more days.

If the sponge is dark, cover it with white stocking and turn the air down.

Some parents eat the unfertilized eggs to protect the good ones.
These are easy prey for bacteria and that could spread out on all of the eggs.
Do not turn the lights off at night. Leave something on (not a strong light) for the fry to find the parents.

How big is the tank ?
When did you change water the last time ?
What percentage did you changed ?

I would continue with your wc routine just go slow with taking water out so that you don't suck up any of the fry. You might try pushing your sponge to the bottom of the tank and turning it sideways then lower your water level down to where your sponge is still running. This will help the fry to find and attach to the parents. It will also keep the parents towards the bottom of the tank where the fry are at. Also, start using aged tap water on your wc's. Go ahead and take the cone out of the tank if all the fry have left it. Keep a light on the the tank 24/7 you want to keep the tank as bright as you can. If your tank is not covered or painted, try taping some wht paper or something to the sides and back of the tank. This helps alot to brighten it up. It normally takes 2 days for the fry to fully attach.
