If the 3'' fish have been in the store for ca 2 months and fed only once a day with wc being minimum what kind of further growth can be expected? THere are about 20 fish in 60 gallon tank so not an ideal place... But they have some really nice fish. And in general they are doing OK. eating all foods, looking good. Just concerned about the growth.

I think you already know the answer.

Think of it like being the guy who goes out to buy a car and when he gets there it is sooooooooooo beautiful.

But when he asks for maintence records the guy unexplainably has lost them. Then he is told it just recently had a new engine put in 25K ago so not to worry about the 250K on the odometer and he can't find the engine paperwork either.

Beautiful car but........

There are three major factors in fish keeping:

1. Keep the fish in a enviroment that is stress free, in terms of water parms, preditors and so on.

2. Feed the fish with different quality foods that meet the growth need.

3. Start with healthy stock.

Any one not following these three simple rules are asking for trouble. I think the rules are true all all fish keeping, especially for Discus.
