Water params in the Dallas/Fort Worth area

I'm finally getting some tanks setup up after moving to Texas a few months ago.

Just curious: how's the water down here? Is the pH stable? I suspect it's hard just from trying to get soap to lather but I haven't actually tested it yet.

here in Fort Worth I get 8.2 out of the tap, KH about 70 and GH about 160.

Have you tested your pH after 24 hrs of agitation? Does it stay put?

it will come down to about 8.0 after aging
