After putting the discus in their tank yesterday morning l pretty much left them alone. But, l couldn't help myself from having a little peak every now and then. They seem to have settled in alright, but are very very shy, using the corner sponge filter to hide. Hope they get over this now that l'm spending alot more time with them. Started feeding them Tetra Colour Granules, Sara San Flakes, and Frozen Blood Worms at different intervals through out today. They are only picking at their offerings and hope they will eat more aggresivly soon. I will be doing a 1/3 water change after posting this message and clean up the left overs.

Looks like they are doing good.

It also looks like you have a little flat screen TV posted in the tank (1st pic) for them to watch. lol

It's amazing what a differance a water change and a few hours make. The fish are all out of hiding now and swiming around the whole tank. I had slowly pushed the PH up to 7.2. I think that's a bit closer to what they are used to? Also feeding a bit better tonight. I sure will be sleeping better tonight than l did a couple of nights ago.:)

The flat screen TV keeps them entertained, and up to date with what going down on Simply Discus.Plenty to see there!

I'm thinking of getting some one like 'Eddie McGuire' down here and do on the spot footage with commentary live broadcast, or something like that. That's great what Karren's doing! Top of the class!:)

Just finished doing a 30% water change, and had them feeding on some FBW in the process. A couple of them are showing some colour ocassionly, and l am starting to wonder what these guys are going to end up looking like. Maybe, Darren and Al could post a few photos of our fish's mummys and daddys in the Challenger's Section.....Please?

And a very Merry Christmas to everyone at 'SIMPLY DISCUS'

Thought l would try a bit of variation to their menu today and feed them a small quantity of 'live white worms'. They seem to like them alright. I liked the way they would grab them from one end and suck them in like l do my spaggetti. l have also included frozen daphnia to their diet. But their favorite meal is FBW. Still not eating aggressively, and wonder weather a slight raise in water temp would fix that? Temp' currently at 29 degrees

Joe,
mate i would just keep up with the w/c and a good varied diet and they should be fine.

I am maintaining daily 30% water changes, and feeding them little amounts of varied foods often. Temp still at 29 degrees, and Ph maintained at 7.2
Cleaning up all scraps in the evening prior to water changes.
Here's a small edited clip of my fish feeding on 'live white worms':)

Thanks John and Ben. I read on another thread here on 'Simply' how you guys get together to make your special blend of beef heart mix.
I particulary liked the colour enhancer you guys used.;)
Might try to make up a batch, and see how they like it.:D
